Awkwafina

Awkwafina, an American performer and actress, started with a series of ribbing quips about racial identities and sexuality. After which she moved into Hollywood the singer and actress released a series of rap tracks. Her name is Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean parents who immigrated to Forest Hills Queens her first encounter with the world of music was through the trumpet. Also, she received instruction in jazz and classical before when she began to explore hip-hop as a teenager. While in college, she remained focused on studies, concentrating in journalism and women's studies. for a brief amount that was spent in Beijing and she also took classes in Mandarin. It wasn't until after graduating that she turned her attention on music. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success through the Internet which led to her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album featured other sensational hits such as body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC BitcheUSD. The track also appeared in Awkwafina's NYC travel guide published in 2015. In addition to being a writer and musician in her portfolio, she decided to set her sights on acting in a third project. Apart from early series like Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films like Neighbors 2, Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, she landed several important roles such as Dude Ocean's Eight or Crazy Rich Asians. Her debut EP, In Fina We Trust in June of the same year.
