Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actress as well as a performer. She was born and raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) who is a nurse and Tom Bell, a television news director. Her ancestry is Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish and Scottish (father). Kristen was already an accomplished entertainer at an early stage. She was cast in the role of Raggedy Ann in 1992 after going to the first audition. Bell's mom enrolled her with an agency just before turning 13 years old. She then appeared in television advertisements and newspaper ads. In addition, she is beginning individual acting classes. Bell played an uncredited part on Polish Wedding (1998), an upcoming film. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band and drama clubs. Bell was cast as Dorothy in the production for high school of The Wizard of Oz. Bell was a student at The Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre within New York City. Bell dropped out of school in 2001 to take on the character of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell made her first credit debut with the role of Becky Pootie Tang. However the film cut her character out of the movie and her appearance was only on the screen credits. Bell made an appearance together with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
